Zombie Arena difficulty and high scores explained
Casual gives you room to learn the ten waves. Survivor is the standard setting, and Nightmare makes mistakes more costly while rewarding a stronger score multiplier. Choose the difficulty that lets you practise the part of the run you have not yet solved. A short Nightmare attempt teaches little about the final wave.
Play Zombie Arena
Use Casual to learn the whole arena
Casual reduces incoming damage and uses lower enemy health and count settings. Its score multiplier is 0.75. You still face the same overall ten-wave structure, so it is a useful way to see how later threats fit together. Learn where cover blocks your shots and which open areas give you room to reload. Reaching the Warden with a workable route is a better first target than chasing a record before you know the arena.
Move to Survivor when your route is consistent
Survivor uses the standard balance and a score multiplier of 1. The arena becomes less forgiving if you relied on absorbing hits in Casual. Watch which wave first breaks your usual route. If runners are the problem, prepare to switch targets sooner. If distant spitters control the open space, use a longer-range weapon when a lane appears. Change one habit at a time so you can tell what improved the next attempt.
Nightmare rewards a run you can sustain
Nightmare uses a 1.5 score multiplier, with higher enemy health and greater incoming damage. Its enemy-count setting is also higher. That makes fast kills valuable, but you still need time to move between safe positions. Keep the dash available when the group is about to split your route. Consider a movement or survival upgrade if it lets you keep scoring through the next wave instead of dying with a stronger weapon.
Read a record in the context of the run
Kills contribute to score, and completing the run adds a bonus for remaining health and grenades. A clean finish can therefore matter beyond the boss kill itself. Compare attempts on the same difficulty when judging whether an upgrade choice helped. Personal records are stored on the current device. They record a completed attempt; they do not mean you can close the browser during wave eight and resume at the same spot later.
