RIFT ESCAPE GUIDE

Rift Escape relay defence: survive three waves

Hold the Generator, Garden Under Siege and Last Transmission ask you to protect a stationary relay. Keeping your own health high is only part of the mission. Watch which enemies have a clear route to the relay and remove that pressure early.

Play Rift Escape

Protect the relay’s 360 health

The relay starts with 360 health. Enemies can target it when it becomes clearly closer than the player, and both bullets and close charged attacks can damage it. A long chase away from the relay may leave another enemy attacking freely. Move to open a useful firing lane while staying aware of the defended area.

Clear the last enemy after the third arrival

All three waves must arrive, and later worlds use larger groups. Seeing the final wave counter is not enough: surviving enemies must also be defeated. If relay health reaches zero, the attempt fails. After a wave arrives, check both the far firing lanes and nearby attackers before settling into a single-target duel.

Recover and then finish extraction

Checkpoint recovery restores at least 160 relay health and keeps existing objective progress, but it adds a time penalty. Use it as a way to continue learning the encounter rather than an untouched speed result. Once defence is complete, return to the green extraction zone and remain there long enough to finish.
