DRIFT ZONE GUIDE

Drift Zone HUD: score, objectives and condition

The same road can host a score contest or a podium race. Start with the objective at the top of the HUD, then use the other readings to judge whether your run is meeting it. Being physically ahead is not always the same as leading the event.

Read position in the context of the event

Score-event standings compare drift scores. Sprint and championship standings compare physical race progress. In a score contract, the AI leader can keep improving after you reach the fixed target. Check the target and the score lead together before treating the contract as won.

Separate pending and secured points

The objective’s drift score includes the live combo. Banked shows points already secured, while the combo display shows pending points and its multiplier. Release to bank appears during a slide; Banking… can follow as it settles. Pending points can still be lost, so a promising total needs a clean finish.

Check the extra requirements

Clipping-point totals or tandem seconds appear separately when the event needs them. The circuit-map text reports clipping points and contact count. FEATURE ACTIVE names a current scoring or grip effect. After an attempt, the result checks show which required condition you missed, making the next practice run more focused.

Watch the car as well as the score

BOOST measures the available boost resource; CAR measures condition. The speed display gives km/h and distinguishes D, R and N. After a collision, verify the gear direction before adding throttle. A low condition reading matters particularly during endurance contracts.
