Drift Zone nitro pads and track bonuses explained
The markings on a Drift Zone circuit change what a good racing line looks like. Some pay more for a controlled slide. Others refill boost or reward a clean pass. Check the event’s active twists before you start: later contracts combine several rules on the same route.
Play Drift Zone
Collect a Nitro Relay pad
Violet relay pads refill boost and trigger four seconds of overdrive. Aim for a pad when you can also use the speed on its exit. A boost refill is less useful if you immediately run wide into a barrier. The Comet R already recovers boost faster, so consider whether that suits the active contract before switching cars.
Recognise the scoring surfaces
Hot Sectors pay 1.6 times the usual drift score. Grip Shift sectors have less grip and award a 1.35 multiplier while drifting. The illuminated outside Bonus Line gives a score burst and overdrive. Each rewards a particular position on the road, so begin the turn with enough space to reach the marked area without a sudden correction.
Leave room when passing
Overtake Bounty pays points and boost for a clean pass, once per rival on each lap. Repeatedly moving past the same car on one lap will not keep paying. Final Surge changes the closing stage with faster boost recovery and a 1.55 score multiplier. Keep the car running long enough to use that late opportunity.
