Drift Zone guide to contracts and racing controls
Drift Zone has seventy-two career contracts across six districts. The opening docks lead to mountain roads and later circuits with changing grip. Check the selected event’s win condition before driving. Some modes use race position, while drift events can include an extra task alongside the score target.
Play Drift Zone
Know what counts as a win
In Drift attack, beat the contract target and every AI drift score. Release your slide to bank a combo; hitting a wall breaks it. Clipping points events also require you to drift through at least three marked outer zones. Tandem chase requires a clean slide near the leading pack for twelve seconds as well as beating the AI drift scores. Watch the objective display to see which requirement remains.
When finishing position matters
Time trials and championships require a podium finish over the required laps. First place earns three stars, with fewer for second or third.
Choose a car for the event
The garage’s six cars have different handling and event strengths. The starting Sora S13 gives you longer to recover a drift chain; the Fox RS emphasizes clipping bonuses. Read each car’s unlock requirement and handling description before planning around it.
Use a familiar route for tuning
Rear-grip tuning changes the setup you drive. Repeat a known section after adjusting it so you can judge the difference in corner entry and recovery. Difficulty also changes event targets and AI pressure. The career supports saved progress with pause and resume. For a shared drive, the separate online missions use team checkpoints and scoring objectives.
A first lap with keyboard controls
W or the up arrow accelerates. S or the down arrow brakes, and it can reverse the car from a stop. Steer with A and D or the left and right arrows. Space applies the handbrake; Shift uses boost. Start with a lap where you concentrate on corner exits. Tap the handbrake to begin the slide, then release it before the car rotates too far. Save boost for an exit where the car is pointing along the road. If you lose control in the same bend, lower the entry speed before making several garage changes at once. Repeat the corner until you can leave it without touching a barrier.
Choose an upgrade after you know the problem
Look at the result that ended the run. A damaged car points toward contact and control problems; a clean car finishing behind the field suggests pace or the racing line. Engine power is useful after you can use it on corner exits. A tyre upgrade can make the rear easier to settle, while a specialist car can suit a clipping or endurance event. Keep the difficulty unchanged during a setup comparison. Rookie changes targets and time allowances, so switching difficulty at the same time would hide what the upgrade actually improved.
