Drift Zone clipping points and tandem chase guide
Precision and tandem events can look like ordinary drift runs until the results screen. Both use drift scoring, with an extra condition that has to be completed during the event. Read that condition before accelerating so you can use the opening laps to make progress on it.
Play Drift Zone
Drift through the marked outside zones
Clipping points contracts require at least three marked outer clipping zones as well as a winning drift score. Plan a wide approach and carry a slide through the marker. Merely driving around the course does not complete the same objective. Keep enough space between the car and the wall to leave the zone with the chain intact. The Fox RS has a clipping-score bonus if it is available in your garage.
Match the lead pack in tandem
Tandem chase asks for a clean slide near the lead pack for a total of 12 seconds while beating the AI drift scores. Closing the gap is only the start: you need to match the group’s pace through corners. Brake early enough to avoid running into the car ahead. When the pack pulls away, use a straighter section to catch up before trying another close slide.
Check progress before the final corner
A large score can hide an unfinished side objective. Glance at the contract progress between bends, then use the remaining time for the missing requirement. Banking a combo also protects points you have already earned. If the event still feels rushed, Rookie gives more time and a lower score target while you learn its line.
