DRIFT ZONE GUIDE

Drift Zone endurance: finish with the car intact

Endurance contracts ask you to beat the drift scores before time expires while keeping the car running. A huge early combo is little help if the car takes too much damage afterward. Plan the run around clean scoring sections, then use the rest of the lap to recover your line.

Bank a good section before the risky bend

Build your drift where the road gives you space. Straightening the car lets you bank the combo rather than carry everything into the next wall. This is especially useful when a clean section leads into a narrow bend or traffic. Look at the banked total and the rival scores after each safe section. If you are ahead, there is little reason to turn a straightforward corner into an all-or-nothing slide.

Treat front impacts as a reason to change your entry

A scrape along a rail preserves more forward movement than a near-frontal impact, but repeated contact still costs you. Brake earlier when the front of the car keeps meeting the barrier. After a collision, straighten before using nitro. Trying to make up all the lost time immediately often carries the same mistake into the next corner. If the car has stopped against an obstacle, reverse out slowly and return to the direction of the circuit.

Pick a car you can keep under control

The Kumo GT takes 18% less contact damage, which can make it a useful endurance choice once unlocked. Its heavier steering still needs some space. The Vanta RX has a drift-scoring bonus but takes more contact damage, so it asks for cleaner driving. Your familiar Sora may finish more reliably than an expensive car you have barely tried. Test the contract with the car that gives you the fewest repeated impacts.

Use the final stage without throwing the run away

A contract with Final Surge boosts scoring and boost recovery late in the event. Save a familiar scoring line for that window if the road allows it. Keep watching the car condition and remaining time, especially if you are trying to catch the last rival. If damage is ending every attempt, practise the troublesome corner on Rookie and check your grip setup. More engine power will not fix the wall contact that is ending the run.
