Drift Zone car stuck? Reverse and recover
A car wedged against a barrier may only need a short reverse. Recovery is available when that is not enough, but it costs condition and clears the pending combo. Decide whether you can back out before using it.
Play Drift Zone
Brake to a stop, then reverse
Hold S or the down arrow to slow forward motion. From a stop, the same control drives backward. Watch for R on the speed display so you know reverse has engaged. Steering while reversing changes the car’s direction differently from a forward turn; use a small input, clear the barrier and then return to throttle.
Use the recovery action when trapped
During a live event, R on the keyboard recovers the car. The pause menu also offers Recover car · −5 condition, including for touch players. Recovery places you just beyond the last completed lap gate, pointing along the circuit, with velocity reset.
Know what recovery costs
Recovery removes the live unbanked combo and subtracts five condition, leaving at least one condition after the action. Banked score stays, and the event timer is not reset. The same contract remains active. If your timer is nearly exhausted, recovery may help you move again without making the objective achievable.
Separate recovery from restarting
Restart Event begins another attempt. Use recovery to preserve the current event’s banked progress; choose restart when you want a fresh run. Before accelerating after recovery, check the next bend and current objective instead of immediately spending all your boost.
