Drift Zone laps not counting? Checkpoint guide
Crossing the finish area is only the last part of a lap. Drift Zone tracks 12 gates in sequence and expects you to cross the next gate in the circuit’s forward direction. Cutting back to the line can leave the required sequence incomplete.

Follow the next gate on the route
A gate counts when you cross near it on the course and in the correct direction. Driving backward through the line does not count as forward progress. After the ordered sequence returns through the start gate, the lap is completed. If a lap seems missing, follow the intended route rather than circling only the finish line.
Read REV as the circuit direction
A REV event uses the reverse version of the circuit. You still drive forward in the car along that route. The gate sequence follows the reversed circuit, so a familiar corner approaches from the other side. Learn the first exit before carrying over a braking point from the normal layout.
Finish the race distance
Sprint and championship progress follows completed gates toward the required laps. The lap requirement depends on event length and circuit distance, with at least two laps. Completing the distance is necessary to finish the race; your podium position then determines the result.
Use completed laps and recovery correctly
Completing a lap banks the current combo and resets lap-limited relay, bonus and overtake claims. Recovery places the car just beyond the previous completed gate, keeping the next required gate consistent. It restores your route rather than crediting a shortcut through unfinished checkpoints.
