BOSS FIGHTS

How to break boss shields in Sky Rush

The Sky Warden’s shield blocks ordinary gunfire. Bring the Storm Lance from the Rail Knight mission and watch the boss objective as the fight changes. The same shield rule matters against the Cinder Regent and the Rift Sovereign later in the campaign.

Play Sky Rush

Break the shield before attacking health

Select the Storm Lance and land shots until the energy shield is gone. The objective then marks the boss as exposed. You can continue with the Lance or switch to another owned gun to damage its health. Keep track of your magazine: a reload while a warning appears is a good moment to move toward open ground.

Expect the shield to return

The boss regains a shield as its health passes roughly two-thirds and one-third remaining. Switch back to the Lance whenever the shield objective returns. Firing another weapon into that shield wastes the opening. These phase changes also increase pressure, so leave yourself a route across the arena before committing to a long attack.

Time a small jump over the ring

Expanding shockwaves travel across the floor. Use the normal jump as a ring approaches your position. A floor launch pad carries you farther, to its linked landing area, and needs a different approach. Move out of marked impact zones when the encounter also includes falling debris. A single jump should answer the danger you can see arriving.
