SKY RUSH STARTING GUIDE

Sky Rush beginner guide to beacons and weapons

Sky Rush opens with First Flight, a mission that teaches movement between islands and restoring beacons. The campaign expands to twenty-one skyways across seven regions. Start by learning the difference between your small jump and the launch pads: they cover different distances, and the route often depends on using a pad.

Play Sky Rush

Move between objectives

On desktop, use WASD or the arrow keys to move and the mouse to aim and fire. Space makes a small steerable jump over low cover or shockwaves. A glowing floor pad sends you across a larger gap. Restore a beacon by standing inside its ring. If the route appears finished but the objective remains active, check for an unrestored beacon before searching for another enemy.

Recover the weapon carrier’s drop

The Iron Harrier carries the Scatter, a close-range burst weapon. The Rail Knight carries the Storm Lance, which pierces energy shields. Defeating a carrier leaves a glowing weapon pickup; walk into it to collect the gun. Use keys 1–3 to switch between owned weapons and R to reload. The current weapon display shows ammunition, so make room to reload before a close fight.

Choose your first difficulty

Rookie reduces incoming damage and enemy speed, making it useful while you learn aiming and movement. Ace and Legend increase the challenge.

Touch controls and saved records

On touch devices, use the left stick for movement and the right stick for aiming and firing; landscape orientation gives the controls more room. Campaign records are saved on the device. Check your mission result before closing the game.

Finish every part of the current sector

The beacon must be fully charged and the sector’s enemies cleared before the route progresses. Charge the beacon by standing inside its ring on the ground. Jumping through the area does not keep the charge moving. If a weapon carrier has fallen, collect its gun as well. That mandatory pickup can keep the mission open even when no enemy is visible. Read the objective text before running back through the map looking for something to shoot. It tells you whether the missing step is a beacon, a hostile or a weapon.

Keep health for a stronger mission result

Sky Rush awards three stars at 70 or more health, two at 35 or more, and one for a clear below that. Rushing the last encounter can turn a comfortable result into a lower star count. Use the same movement habits near the finish as you did at the start. Look for a safe reload and leave a dash for the warning that catches you in the open. Your completion time is recorded separately, so a cleaner run has value even when it is slower.
