CHAPTER BOSSES

Rift Escape boss guide from the Warden to Rift Zero

Each Rift Escape chapter ends with a boss encounter. Their attacks change across the campaign, even when the arena gives you familiar cover. Watch the floor warnings before holding your firing position, and leave yourself room to move when a pattern begins.

Learn the Warden and Scrap Titan patterns

The Dockyard Warden alternates aimed volleys with shockwaves. Red rings tell you where to move before the hit. Scrap Titan follows with expanding chains of ground blasts; leaving the first explosion is only the beginning of that sequence. Keep moving until the chain has passed, then use the gap to resume firing.

Track attacks that change your safe position

The Thornkeeper sends spores outward and leaves marked patches to avoid. Chrono Enforcer relocates when wounded and can fire a full-circle burst, so reacquire its position after a teleport. Cover helps organize the fight, but a position that was clear at the start of a pattern may become dangerous before it ends.

Leave a dash for the final chapters

Skybreaker locks missiles onto your recent position. Move sideways through the barrage instead of waiting in the marked area. Rift Zero mixes radial shots with cascading rift blasts. Keep your dash available when those patterns overlap, then attack during a clearer interval. After a boss is defeated, finish by reaching the extraction area shown by the mission.

Reposition before committing to a full attack

Start each boss pattern with an escape route in mind. Solid cover can block a firing lane, but a ground warning still asks you to leave the marked area. Move during the warning and attack when you can see the boss without an obstacle between you. If you need to switch sides, save a dash for the exposed part of the crossing. Staying in one corner while firing continuously can make later patterns overlap your only exit. A smaller number of clean attacks is easier to repeat than a rushed attempt that depends on absorbing damage.

Separate learning the fight from earning every star

Complete the boss mission first so you know how extraction works. Then return for the optional intel or a faster result. The game keeps those earned bonuses across successful attempts. A difficult detour for the case does not need to fit into the same run as your time-star attempt. Check the account-save status before working through several replays, especially if you previously opened practice mode. The green extraction area is still part of a successful clear after the boss has been defeated.
