Rift Escape weapons: rifle, shotgun or arc cannon?
Rift Escape gives you three weapons on keys 1–3. The active combat campaign does not use magazines or a reload resource, so your choice is about range, firing opportunities and enemy type. All three still need a clear route past solid cover.
Play Rift Escape
Use the Pulse Rifle for repeated accurate shots
The rifle fires one accurate projectile with a listed range of 30 and a 0.16-second firing interval. It is the fastest-firing option. Use it when you can maintain a clear lane and adjust aim between shots. Cover still blocks the projectile, so move around a corner before expecting sustained fire to reach the target.
Bring the Breach Shotgun into effective range
The shotgun fires five pellets, each dealing 13 damage when it hits. Its range is 14, and the spread makes close fights its natural use. At a distance, fewer pellets may connect. Close only when the enemy’s recovery or your available space makes that approach sensible; standing beside a heavy enemy just to land more pellets creates another risk.
Use the Arc Cannon against shields and clusters
The cannon fires one 48-damage projectile at range 28, with a slower 0.72-second interval. Arc hits bypass phase-facing shield reduction. An impact can also damage other enemies within four units if cover does not block the connection. Non-boss targets are briefly stunned, with heavy enemies recovering sooner. A missed shot leaves a longer gap before the next one.
