Obby Blitz potato job: finish Tom’s harvest
Tom’s potato job is a useful starting task when you reach the village in Obby Blitz. You need to accept his offer before gathering the job’s harvest. The task asks for 24 potatoes, and you can carry six at a time. Follow the job counter so you know whether to keep picking or head back to the bin.
Play Obby Blitz
Accept the offer before entering the field
Approach Tom and use the interaction prompt. F continues the conversation and accepts the job when that is the offered action. Read the message that confirms the work has started. Walking into the field without accepting can leave you trying to harvest for a task that is not active. If a conversation is covering the view after you have read it, X closes it so you can return to moving around the village.
Carry six potatoes to the bin
Use Pick potatoes or F at the job’s potato plants. Once you are carrying six, return to the marked bin and deposit them. The full task takes four full loads. Watch your position beside the bin when interacting, because the action depends on what is nearby. If you cannot pick another potato, check whether your hands are full before walking farther across the field.
Call Tom after the full harvest is deposited
The job pays 2,500 rings after its 24 potatoes are gathered and deposited. Finish the return interaction with the farmer to collect the payment. A full load in your hands is not the same as a completed deposit, so check the counter at the bin first. Leaving the village and returning retains an unfinished job. When you come back, use the current count instead of starting the route as though none of the earlier work happened.
Treat your own field as a separate project
Tom’s job is different from growing potatoes on land you own. Your personal plot has its own growing cycle and harvested inventory. That crop can support later village tasks and companion care. If you want Sprout, the special potato comes from healthy harvests on your own plot. Repeating Tom’s job should not be treated as a shortcut to the special-potato step. Use the job as a way to learn the village interactions and build some ring income.
