OBBY BLITZ GUIDE

Obby Blitz home defence: dig and fill a moat

Expanding a house opens a defence problem as well as more space: raids become active. Prepare the tools and a plan for filling the moat before relying on it. A trench still being dug cannot protect the home as a completed water barrier.

Budget for the house and expansion

A house costs 120,000 village rings and includes kitchen utensils. The first expansion costs 60,000; the next costs 120,000 as price scales with house level. Expansion enables raids, with the first alert scheduled after 90 active seconds. Thieves can take utensils, boots, tyres, shovels or buckets, so the kitchen is worth protecting.

Dig at the marked site

Buy a shovel for 600 rings and stand at the marked dig site to work manually. A complete manually dug moat represents 7,200 active seconds of digging. A knight costs 4,000 rings. Assigning an available knight as a worker costs another 2,000 and uses a spare shovel; each worker contributes at twelve times the manual rate.

Carry water after the digging is finished

A bucket costs 300 rings. Once the moat is complete, fill carried buckets at the lake and empty them at the home boundary. Full filling takes 30 bucket loads. Trying to fill an unfinished moat skips a required step, so check the digging state before making repeated lake trips.

Maintain the defence after construction

Each knight stops one thief and then withdraws, making guards a consumable raid defence. Crocodiles are another option once the moat is fully filled, but they require food. Protecting utensils also preserves the kitchen you need when roasted potatoes form part of your income.
